Postville man convicted of credit card fraud and identity theft is arrested for failing to serve his sentence

A Postville resident is now in custody in the Winneshiek County Jail after being served a warrant for failure to serve a jail term.

20-year-old Abdihakim Osman entered a guilty plea earlier this year to one charge of Identity Theft and a second charge of Credit Card Fraud for allegedly taking a woman's ATM card and using it to withdraw money from an ATM in Luana.

A judge ruled Osman failed to comply with the terms of his plea agreement, so a warrant was issued to take Osman into custody.  Sheriff's deputies found Osman on Friday night and took him to the Winneshiek County Jail on the failure to serve jail time arrest warrant.
