An Allamakee County resident accused of making threatening phone calls to Winneshiek Medical Center last November, 58-year-old William Harrison Junior, will spend 30 days in jail for his guilty plea to charges of Felony Threat of Terrorism and two counts of Aggravated Misdemeanor Harassment.
Phone calls received last November by Winneshiek Medical Center staffers included multiple acts of violence directed to the Winneshiek Medical Center and staff, according to Decorah Police. The Decorah Police Department and Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office began a joint investigation with the assistance of the Winneshiek County Attorney's Office which led to a search warrant being served to Harrison at his home in rural Allamakee County.
Harrison has submitted a written plea of guilty and has been sentenced to 30 days in jail, with credit for time already served. He will also pay $425.25 in fines and court costs. Finally, two no contact orders issued in December will be modified to continue for five years.
