Decorah Police respond to two accidents

Decorah Police say officers responded to two minor traffic accidents Tuesday morning.
Just before 7:15 a.m., 36-year-old Kandi Sheffield of Decorah lost control of her car on private property near Old Stage Road and it hit a cement pole, causing $3,000 in damages to Sheffield's vehicle. Sheffield was not injured and no tickets were issued.
Just before 9:00 a.m., 89-year-old Joie Cole of Decorah made a left turn from Pool Street onto College Drive and struck a van driven by 15-year-old Josie Bohr of Ossian, causing a total of $3,500 in damages. Cole was issued a ticket for failure to stop at a stop sign.
