The Oneota Drive Bridge is now open to traffic. Crews from Brennan Construction of Lansing removed the old bridge over The Cut one lane at a time, replacing it with a new span one lane at a time until the old bridge was gone and the new bridge was in place.
But Decorah City Engineer Jeremy Bril says the new bridge won't be completed until next spring. That's because November's snows have postponed the paving of the bridge.
Bril says the bridge is open to traffic until next spring, when the final step of paving the bridge and approaches will be finished.
