Flu vaccine supplies are good in Decorah

After having limited supplies of flu vaccine at the beginning of this flu season, local outlets for the flu shot are reporting good supplies.

Winneshiek County Public Health has received additional high dose flu vaccine for those 65 years and older and also has additional quadrivalent flu vaccine for those who are 3 years of age and older.  It also has VFC influenza shots for those who qualify, but no longer has any flu mist available.

Other outlets for the flu vaccine, including local pharmacies, are reporting similar news for vaccine supplies

Winneshiek County Public Health accepts walk-ins for flu vaccinations at the Winneshiek County Public Health office at 305 Montgomery Street from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Although, it is recommended to call first. Cost of the vaccine is $30 and is for everyone ages 3 years and older. It takes 2 weeks for you to be fully covered against the influenza with the vaccination.
