Winneshiek County Sheriff Deputies receive Quilts of Valor

Winneshiek County Sheriff Deputies Lee Goedken and Andrew Hageman were recognized and received Quilts of Valor at the Veterans Day ceremony held at the VFW in Decorah.

Deputy Goedken served in the U.S. Marine Corp. Infantry for 4 years. He was deployed overseas numerous times including combat action in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.

Deputy Hageman served in the Army Reserve 322nd Engineer Company out of Decorah for 6 years. He was deployed to Afghanistan in 2011.
