Write-in votes change the outcome of a Fort Atkinson City Council election

A write-in campaign in the City of Fort Atkinson has been a success.

Poll workers on Thursday confirmed that city council candidate Dale Leuenberger received 39 write-in votes in Tuesday's election.  Those 39 votes were enough for Leuenberger to defeat the candidate listed on the ballot--David Scheider--who received 26 votes.
