The Depot Outlet Board has awarded a grant to the Northeast Iowa Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).  The funding is paying for furniture and file cabinets to reorganize the RSVP office, allowing more space for staff and volunteers to work.

In the past year, the program has grown to over 400 individuals who are engaged in volunteering at 66 locations throughout our service area.  Last year, volunteer hours totaled just over 28,000 hours.  According to RSVP Director Deana Hageman, "We are very thankful for the Depot Outlet grant as we had outgrown our file storage."

Northeast Iowa RSVP matches volunteers age 55 and up with opportunities to serve at non-profits in Allamakee, Howard and Winneshiek counties. For more information visit: www.decorah.lib.ia.us/RSVP
