City, school elections will be held Tuesday

Tuesday is Election Day in Winneshiek County.

Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. throughout the county.

Decorah voters will be asked to settle two Decorah City Council races.  In the Second Ward, Emily Neal and Dan Kirkeby are on the ballot.  In one of the city's two at-large districts, Kirk Johnson and Gary Rustad are on the ballot.  4th Ward City Council member Steve Luse in also on the ballot, but unopposed.

Decorah Community School District voters will be asked to determine three seats on the school board.  In the Decorah district, Kerry J. Johnson, Reginald Sampson, John Hjelle, Alecia Bucksa and Brian Petersburg (Kerry Johnson has taken a job with the school district and has asked that people not vote for her).  In District #1, which represents the former North Winneshiek School District, there are no names on the ballot.
