Three vehicles damaged in a minor collision on College Drive

The Decorah police Department reports 3 vehicles were southbound on College Drive on Saturday at 6:16 p.m. when traffic backed-up from the Locust Road and College Drive intersection caused 3 vehicles to collide.

18-year-old Elise Smith of Alburnett was stopped in traffic on College Drive behind 19-year-old Josie Lavoi of Rochester. Meanwhile 62-year-old Jay Rockwell of Decorah didn't realize the traffic was stopped and rear-ended Smith whose vehicle was pushed into Lavoi's vehicle.

The accident caused $400 of damage to Lavoi's 2014 Chevrolet, $4,000 to Smith's 2011 Chevrolet, and $3,500 to Rockwell's 2016 GMC.
Rockwell was at fault for the collision. No injuries were reported.
