Early morning accident at Turkey Valley School causes $28,000 in damages

A Decorah man has been ticketed following an accident Thursday morning in Jackson Junction.
32-year-old Gregory Schutte of Decorah was traveling on Highway 24 near Turkey Valley School when he struck the rear of a car driven by 17-year-old Elijah Reicks of Lawler.
Reicks was westbound on Highway 24 slowing down to turn into Turkey Valley School and waiting for oncoming traffic. Schutte was westbound behind Reicks and struck Reicks from behind.
No ambulance transport was needed. Schutte was ticketed for failure to reduce speed.
