City of Decorah officials say the city has received two inquiries about the possible sale of the city-owned Fox & Coon Club property at the intersection of Highways 9 & 52.
The issue has been discussed in a work session of the Decorah City Council. Some council members say they would favor selling the property and getting it on the tax rolls. However, City Council member Andy Carlson suggested the city council should wait until they heard whether the Decorah School District was still considering the property as a site for a proposed new bus barn. He suggested that the city council wait until after the November 5th school board election and contact Decorah Schools representatives.
The city-owned property is roughly six acres of land between Highway 52 and a creek bed.
