Consulting firm will do more soil borings for the Locust Road project

The Decorah City Council has agreed to pay Terracon Consultants up to $35,350 for additional soil borings on Locust Road.

City Administrator Chad Bird told city council members the work would provide "a more in-depth analysis" of the Locust Road roadbed.  A representative of McClure Engineering told city council members the soil borings would go as deep as 15 feet.

The work is expected to start later this month and run for four or five days.
