Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce hosting "Chamber After 5" on Thursday

The Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a "Chamber After 5" event Thursday to tour The Kitchen at the Spectrum Center from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. to learn more about their services. The Kitchen is located on Railroad Street in Decorah.

Chef Justin Scardina will prepare appetizers and drinks will be available.

The Kitchen's mission is to provide an option to local establishments of high-quality prepackaged foods, including foods like sandwiches, salads, appetizers, breads, bakery items, and more. The Kitchen is also a space for community fundraisers to use the space as a make and take, or make and sell. They are working to provide jobs to Spectrum Network employees as opportunities arise to support the mission of Spectrum.

The Kitchen hopes to be an incubator space for startups by leasing space or time to local caterers, food artisans, families, and more. The opportunity to work within a professional setting with a trained chef will provide a unique training and learning environment to guide them on startup or business growth.
