Work on the Decorah 2019 Street Improvement begins this week

Starting this week paving will begin for the Decorah 2019 Street Improvement projects. As a result, sections of the following streets will be temporarily closed throughout the week:

    Commerce Drive (Tuesday and Wednesday)
    Pool Street (Wednesday and Thursday)
    Alley south of Broadway Street between Oak Street and William Street (Thursday and Friday)
    and North Street (Friday)

Paving will continue next week, with closures on the following streets:

    College Drive (October 21st & 22nd)
    Shady Lane (October 23rd and 24th)
    Hilltop Drive (October 23rd and 24th)
    North Street (October 24th)

Residents are encouraged to seek alternate routes during the closures. Detours will be in place for each closure and most of the streets should be open overnight.

The contractor will contact property owners along the affected streets to coordinate access as necessary.
