"Eradicating Peace: The Other Side of the Colombian War on Drugs" at NEIPJC on Saturday

The Northeast Iowa Peace & Justice Center is hosting a guest speaker Saturday night, from 6:00 until 9:00, at 119 Winnebago Street in Decorah.

The lecture is part of a speaking tour titled "Eradicating Peace: The Other Side of the Colombian War on Drugs," featuring Colombian National Coordinator of the Growers of Coca, Poppy, and Marijuana (COCCAM) Leider Valencia,

Leider advocates using farmer-to-farmer methods and for rural reform (within the peace accords) which includes healthcare, infrastructure, and education. He is interested in dialoging and meeting other farmers.

The evening will start with a potluck supper, followed by a presentation and discussion with Leider Valencia.
