Crews from Brennan Construction in Lansing on Tuesday worked on setting two giant girders into place as the second lane of the new Oneota Drive Bridge is being constructed.
The old bridge structure has been removed and one lane of the new bridge has been installed. Crews are now working on the final phase of the bridge construction project.
Brennan Construction was the low bidder on the project, with a bid of $891,591.01. The City of Decorah will pay $234,657.80 of the cost. All the remaining costs will be paid by the Iowa Department of Transportation.
