Deputies ticketed one of the drivers following weekend accident

A Springville, Iowa man was ticketed for failure to maintain control of his vehicle following a Saturday morning accident at 295th Avenue and Highway 24 in Jackson Township.

Sheriff's Deputies say 22-year-old Max Boland was traveling east on Highway 24, but failed to observe that 67-year-old Anita Preston of New Hampton had slowed down. Boland struck Preston's SUV from behind.

The accident did $6,000 in damages. No ambulance transport was needed.
