Decorah High School announces fall musical and performance dates

Decorah High School recently announced the fall musical production: "Tuck Everlasting," based on the classic children's novel by Natalie Babbitt.

Performances of the show will be presented November 14th, 15th, and 16th at 7:30 pm and November 16th at 1:30 pm in the Decorah High School Auditorium.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for K-12 students. Tickets can be purchased at the DHS Box Office November 4th and 5th from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm as well as November 11th, 12th, and 13th from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. The box office will also open an hour before each show with the doors to the house opening a half hour before showtime.

The production staff includes producer/technical director Thomas Houdek, music director/ conductor Jason Rausch, stage director/costumer Kristen Underwood, and choreographer Karen Trewin.

Cast members include principals Ally Bouska as Winnie Foster and Dylan Muhlbauer, Nolan Jostand, Leila Johnson, and Finn Deen-Lester as Jesse, Miles, Mae, and Angus Tuck respectively. Bringing the mischievous carnival to town is the Man in the Yellow Suit played by Kaj Spencer Berg. Protecting Winnie and the rest of Treegap, New Hampshire, are Constable Joe and his deputy son Hugo portrayed by Joe Courtney and Tyler Irwin. Lily Smith and Lillian Grouws play the roles of Mother and Nana Foster.

Creating the storytelling vocals and dances throughout the Treegap wood include ensemble members Ada Lovelace, Abby Hanson, Annette Leschensky, Cooper McElree, Grace Robison, Maria Hendrickson, Max Wilson, Michael Njus, Mikiah Krieg, Nolan Jacobsen, Owen Henning, Sally Laybourn, Sophie Schwarz, Will Schwarz, Amber Hussain, Angel Peña-Rodriguez, Audrey Casterton, Drew Chamberlain, Ella Grouws, Gabe Vilardo, Jenna Lundtvedt, Katie Valkosky, Mitch Leschensky, Noah Lovelace, Peter Wilson, Ruby Langholz, Sierra Kruger, Adam Jones, Alex Irwin, Amey Shedinger, Anna Tallier, Annalise Skrade, Anya Lovstuen, Ashley Bjork, Blake Donlon, Caleb Huebner, Christian Carlson, Clara Rooney, Daniel Skrade, Ella Runestad, Ellen Rooney, Hope Stahl, Jake Magner, Kairi Harper, Jenna Hartz, Katie Bjergum, Katie Storlie, Kendra Bigler, Koryn Bakken, Lydia Ihde, Maddie Putnam, Morgan Moen, Olivia Sim, Rex Huinker, Riley Wilson, Ruby Sullivan, Simon Mumford, and Alex Kane.

Technical crews working on lights, sound, and backstage include Seth Shindelar, Andrew Magner, Galen Iverson, Logan Halverson, Luke Benzing, Nils Holkesvik, Braden Elton, Max DeVore, and Landan Folkedahl.

Students creating the melodies and harmonies from the pit orchestra include Landon Miller, Liliana McGohan, Sarah Pedlar, Danielle Lundtvedt, Maggie Kane, Gabe Anderson, Mya Sullivan, Jesus Peña-Rodriguez, Sofie Grouws, Anja Madsen, Britta Swanson, AJ Morrow, Storme Barr, and Mara Pankow.
