Letter to the Editor: Make Thomas Hansen pay the $1,500 cost of last Tuesday's election

"What is to prevent the Decorah City Council from reversing the cost of $1,500 for the Ward 2 special election to the person who initiated it? 

First of all, it sounds like this election never should have happened.  And now that it did, the cost should be borne by the non resident.  Fair is fair!

Residents don't pay—non residents do.  Balance the books and credit election cost expense and debit cash received to balance."
