Three Decorah School Board seats on the November ballot

Three positions for the Decorah Community School District Board of Directors will be on the ballot Tuesday, November 5th.

Five candidates have submitted papers to run for two at-large seats. Those running for the two at-large seats are Alicia Bucksa, John Hjelle (incumbent), Kerry Johnson, Brian Petersburg (incumbent), and Reginald Sampson. The District I seat will also be on the ballot this year. No candidate submitted paperwork to be listed on the ballot for the District I seat. Current Director Ben Lange has indicated intentions to run a write-in campaign for the District I seat.

The two at-large seats will be filled by the two highest vote recipients among the five at-large candidates. The District I seat will be filled by the highest write-in vote recipient who lives in the District I area.
