UPDATE: Possible abduction investigated at Decorah Middle School, but none found

The Decorah Police Department contacted the Decorah School District Friday afternoon about a possible abduction from Decorah Middle School.
Decorah Police say their dispatch center received a 9-1-1 text about a possible abduction from the school. That set off an extensive investigation. The investigation found no evidence of an abduction. School district officials say, "We do not believe there is any danger to any of our Decorah Community School District students."
The Decorah Police Department was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office, Allamakee County Sheriff's Office,
Waukon Police Department, and the Decorah Community School District.
If anyone has any information in regards to this incident, they are being asked to contact the Decorah Police Department.
A statement from the Decorah Community School District concluded, "We appreciate our partnerships with law enforcement and the continued efforts to keep our community safe and to assist in providing a safe and healthy learning environment for your son/daughter."
