Other Winneshiek County cities will also have November election contests

Voters in Calmar, Ossian and Castalia will all have choices to make when they vote in the November 5th municipal elections.

In Calmar, Mayor Keith Frana will face a challenge from Jason Drucker, while five people are running for three city council seats--incumbents Jeanie Kirkeberg and Linus Sabelka, as well as newcomers Gary Barness, Patrick Nervig and Keith Gerlich.

Ossian will also have several races.  Bryan Beckman and Chuck Covell have filed papers for mayor, while incumbent Bill Green did not.  Four people are running for three spots on the Ossian City Council--incumbents Susan Lienau and Dan Langreck, as well as newcomers Rodney Hemesath and Graham Goltz.

Finally, Castalia voters will have to pick three city council members out of five candidates--incumbents Lowell Corlett, Wayne Corlett and Dennis Wilkins and challengers Thomas Schultz and Benjamin Martin.
