A Decorah man has been ticketed for Failure to Yield the Right of Way following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 9 Monday afternoon.
Decorah Police say 65-year-old Donald Wilkins pulled out from the Bruening quarry on Highway 9, thinking he could make it across the eastbound lanes of traffic. He could not. He struck a pickup driven by 41-year-old Jose Cesar of Castalia. The accident caused $14,000 in damages.
Cesar suffered a broken knee cap in the accident and was taken to Winneshiek Medical Center for treatment. Wilkins was not injured.
