Luther College is issuing a reminder: Do NOT hike around the Luther wind turbine

The Luther College wind turbine is one of the most noticeable features of the Decorah landscape.  Maybe that's why it's tempting to go visit the wind turbine.

But the Luther College Sustainability Department is reminding the public that the wind turbine is located on private property that also hosts an active quarry.  Because of that fact, Luther staffers are asking the public to not hike into the property.  They say the area should be avoided not only for safety reasons but because hiking around the turbine without permission is considered trespassing.
