Decorah School Board begins employee cell phone policy

The Decorah Community School Board began discussion of the teacher cell phone policy at Monday's board meeting.

Prompted by staff questions regarding Decorah school district employee cell phone distribution and reimbursement, Superintendent Lane urged the board to address issues surrounding who is assigned cell phones, who may eligible for stipends, and appropriate use of school-distributed cell phones.

Cell phone policy will be brought up at October's school board meeting.
