Helping Services is sponsoring a workshop on building healthy relationships with children

A three-week series of workshops in Decorah starting Thursday night is aimed at parents, caregivers and anyone working with children.  The sessions will run on three consecutive Thursday evenings from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church at 302 West Broadway in Decorah.

"The Nurtured Heart Approach" focuses on building healthy, positive relationships between adults and children. Attendees will learn boundaries and limits that empower children and skills on how to say "no" and to lead a child's behavior in an authentic way.

A light meal and childcare will be provided at each session. Families who complete all three session will receive a Kwik Star gas card and a set of children's books and activities to take home with them.
