Highway 52 detour north of Chatfield has been lifted

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the Highway 52 detour has been lifted between Interstate 90 and Chatfield.

Motorists had been detoured since June 3rd for culvert replacement work along the highway.  The detour was ended on Friday.

Paving work continues in areas between I-90 and Chatfield, while work in Chatfield includes paving, signal replacement and sidewalk improvements for people who are walking and biking.

Flaggers will be stopping traffic for short periods during paving work so each direction of traffic takes turns in the open lane that's not being paved at the time.
