Process has begun of looking for a new Decorah Assistant Police Chief

Now that a new Decorah Police Chief has been hired, the search has begun for an Assistant Police Chief.

The city's Civil Service Commission will meet at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Law Enforcement Center to discuss the testing and certification procedures to be used.  It will also discuss whether to recommend hiring Cayler Consulting to help in the search for an Assistant Police Chief.  Cayler was paid $13,000 earlier to help administer the search for a Decorah Police Chief.
