Democratic Presidential candidate Steve Bullock of Montana to visit Decorah Friday

Montana Gov. Steve Bullock--one of 21 Democratic Party Presidential candidates--will visit Decorah at 1:00 Friday afternoon.  His appearance is scheduled for The Lingonberry on Water Street in downtown Decorah.

Bullock promotes the fact that he has won three statewide elections in very red Montana, once to become Attorney General and twice to become Montana Governor.  He says the Democratic Party cannot afford to be popular only on the East Coast and West Coast.

He points to his achievements as Montana Governor in getting legislation passed with the cooperation of Republicans--measures like expanding Medicaid, freezing college tuition and limiting dark-money campaign contributions.

Bullock becomes the sixth Presidential candidate to visit Decorah this campaign season, joining John Delaney, Kirsten Gillibrand, Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar and Eric Swalwell.
