Minor two-vehicle collision Thursday at Highway 9 and Highway 52 intersetion

The Decorah Police Department reports two drivers were involved in a minor collision at the four-way intersection of Highway 52 and Highway 9 on Thursday afternoon.

Christina Pattison of Decorah was stopped at the Yield sign, with the intention of merging onto Highway 52. Pattison was rear-ended by Decorah resident Michael John Macal, who reports he thought Pattison was moving forward onto Highway 52. Macal reports his brakes failed to work and he consequently struck Pattison's vehicle.
