Winneshiek Medical Center has again won accreditation

"Accreditation demonstrates success in meeting The Joint Commission's national standards for health care quality and safety in hospitals," says Winneshiek Medical Center Chief Administrative Officer Lisa Radtke.  She adds, "Winneshiek Medical Center has committed to meeting the Joint Commission's high standards so our patients and community know we are a safe facility that provides quality health care."

A team of seven Joint Commission surveyors evaluated WMC over four days for compliance with standards of care specific to the needs of patients, including infection prevention and control, leadership and medication management. 

The accreditation covers all WMC hospital services, Decorah, Ossian and Mabel Clinics, Rehab outreach clinics, the Sleep Lab, Home Health, Hospice and Durable Medical Equipment (DME).
