Residents along Bluffton Road are notified of road closures via email and Facebook

Construction crews began work Monday to replace piping along Bluffton Road. The project will encompass Bluffton Road from Pole Line Road to Pine Creek Road.

Rather than close all of Bluffton Road, construction crews will be working in concentrated sections of the road. Because of this, road closures will be moving from site to site on a daily basis.

Residents along Bluffton Road have been notified of the construction and have been added to a group email alerting residents to daily road closures.

Country Engineer Lee Bjerke said the Winneshiek County Road Department is making sure no residents, due to road closures, get trapped on an island.
