Trial date confirmed for Decorah resident and former Crestwood teacher accused of having sex with one of her students

Former Cresco teacher Tiffany Ranweiler-Oblander, a Decorah resident, will go on trial September 11th on a charge of sexual exploitation by a school employee.
Ranweiler-Oblander is accused of engaging in sexual contact with an 18-year-old student in the Howard-Winneshiek School District during the school year away from Crestwood High School. Ranweiler-Oblander has been put on administrative leave; has been banned from the school grounds; and has been forbidden to have contact with the student.
A pretrial hearing was held Monday morning in Cresco. Circuit Court Judge Linda Fangman confirmed that the trial on the charge will be held September 11th in Cresco.
