According to the Iowa Department of Agriculture, despite the recent rainfall and a wet early summer, Iowa farmers have had "unseasonably dry conditions for the third consecutive week."

The Iowa Crop Progress and Condition Report says corn, soybeans, oats, and alfalfa hay were all behind last year and the 5-year average.

The northeast Iowa corn and soybean progress are approximately 2 weeks behind the 5-year average.
