Kadens Kloset: Decorah will be having an open house from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday in its new permanent location. Located at Decorah Covenant Church at 115 Washington Street, the new space is in the upper level of the "Warehouse" annex building on the west end of the parking lot. The open house will allow people to walk through, see the new space, and ask questions.
Kadens Kloset is a volunteer-run non-profit organization that exists to provide donated services and necessities for foster and adoptive children, families, and children in need within our community and beyond. Kadens Kloset gives every individual a way to positively engage in community partnership as it creates an opportunity for communities and individuals to build relationships and share resources.
Kadens Kloset provides clothing and other tangible goods for children at no cost. The non-profit has open hours once a month for people to walk in to select clothing, footwear, and other items donated by individuals and businesses in the community. Upcoming open hour times are August 10th and September 21st from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Come on August 10th for back-to-school "shopping." Shoppers are encouraged to select 5 or 6 items of need, and as many stuffed animals and books as desired.
Shopping appointment times can be privately scheduled as well. For questions, contact Angela at kadensklosetdecorah@gmail.com or the Kadens Kloset: Decorah Facebook page.
