The Northeast Iowa Rugby Club has started its 2019 season, going 3-1 and earning second place at The Waterloo Irishfest Rugby Tournament.
It's the seventh season for the rugby club, but the first one with a women's rugby team. Both the men and women practice on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. at the Luther College rugby fields.
Players must be at least 18 years age, or have permission from a parent/guardian to play. No experience is required; new players play for free.
The men and women's teams will host two homes games--September 7th and October 5th at the Luther College rugby fields. Admittance will be free to the public. The NE Iowa Rugby Club will compete in four away games.
