Changes start Monday in the Highway 52 Chatfield detour

With the end of Western Days in Chatfield, the Minnesota DOT says the construction project on Highway 52 in Fillmore County will enter a new phase this week.

On Monday, barriers will be placed in front of the properties between 1st and 3rd Streets on the northbound side of Highway 52 in downtown Chatfield.  One barrier will separate pedestrians from traffic and an interior barrier will separate pedestrians from the construction area.  There will be breaks in the interior barrier in front of the various storefronts to ensure that people may access the businesses.
 
On Tuesday, sidewalk removals will begin on the block between 1st and 2nd Streets.

The detour north of Chatfield remains in effect.
