43 Winneshiek County veterans receive Quilts of Valor

43 additional Winneshiek County veterans have now received quilts from the Quilts of Valor program. Three presentations were conducted on Friday and Saturday during Nordic Fest at the Decorah Middle School Gymnasium.

The majority of funding for the quilts was provided through grants received from The Depot Outlet and from the Winneshiek County Community Foundation.

The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover service members and veterans "touched by war" with Quilts of Valor.
