Letter to the Editor: Kudos to the Nordic Fest Board --by Dale B. Olson of Decorah

(The following Letter to the Editor has been submitted by Dale B. Olson of Decorah):

"It was nice to see the Garbage Gnomes taking care of the garbage detail for Nordic Fest and doing such a thorough job--including following at the end of the parade to collect trash from the parade route and from parade observers. Thanks to the Northeast Iowa Rugby Club.

Also, it was great having hand washing stations placed around town. With the large amount of food consumed, it greatly increased the hygiene level. My only suggestion would be to make sure each hand washing station has a garbage container near it (noticed that was lacking at the station near John Cline School)."
