PHOTOS OF THE DAY: Up on the roof??

Crews from Finholt Construction in Decorah were high above Decorah on Friday morning.  Workers were installing a new window system on the cupola of the Winneshiek County Courthouse.

The work is being done because of water leakage into the third floor courtroom at the Courthouse.  Another part of the project is installing a new set of stairs created by Wiltgen Manufacturing that will give access to the clock in the Courthouse tower.

The work is the latest project in a several year effort to maintain the historic Winneshiek County Courthouse.
