Letter to the Editor: Bump-outs may be difficult to maintain in the winter

(The following Letter to the Editor has been submitted by Julie Ahrens of West Union):

"I think the City of Decorah would be unhappy with the bump-outs in the winter time.  Having maneuvered around them in both Oelwein and West Union…it isn't easy to clean the streets with those additions to the sidewalks.  Yes…the students WOULD be closer to traffic…but I think maintenance will be the biggest issue."
