Congresswoman Abby Finkenauer will visit downtown Decorah Wednesday morning

Eastern Iowa Congresswoman Abby Finkenauer will pay a visit to Decorah on Wednesday morning.

Finkenauer is the Chairwoman of the House of Representative's Subcommittee on Rural Development, Agriculture, Trade, and Entrepreneurship.  The subcommittee addresses policies that enhance rural economic growth, increase America's energy independence and ensure that America's small businesses can compete effectively in a global marketplace.

The Dubuque Democrat will visit the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce office on Water Street at 10:30 Wednesday morning, then will walk down Water Street to talk with local business owners.

Finkenauer's office says she has scheduled the visit to Decorah as part of her effort to help promote rural development in the United States.
