A decorahnews.com Unscientific Survey: "What are the worst streets in Decorah?"

(by decorahnews.com's Paul Scott):

What with murder trials and Nordic Fest to keep us busy in July, there have been a few items that have slipped by.  One of those is the four-year street improvement plan approved earlier this month by the Decorah City Council (http://www.decorahnews.com/news-stories/2019/07/22738.html).

The plan calls for work to be done next year on Locust Road.  I don't think there's anyone in town who will disagree that this project should be the top priority for the City of Decorah--just one trip on the road would convince you of that.

The plan also calls for work to be done between July 1st, 2022 and June 30th, 2023 on the reconstruction of North College Drive.  I confess to being surprised by that choice--my personal opinion is that East Main Street should be a higher priority.

But I've been wrong before--as you'll no doubt agree--so instead of expressing my own personal opinion, I thought it would be a good idea to sample reader opinions.  So send us an e-mail at news@decorahnews.com with your list of the top three streets which need fixing in the City of Decorah.

Here are our rules for this unscientific survey:
  • Only one entry per person, please!
  • Only three nominations per e-mail, with the first street mentioned being your top priority, the second street mentioned being your second priority, etc.
  • We'll accept e-mails through noon on Thursday, August 1st.
  • We make no guarantees that the survey results will have any impact on city officials!
  • "Void where prohibited"
