Nordic Fest kicks off Thursday evening

Nordic Fest, a celebration of the spirit of Scandinavia with fun activities for the whole family, will officially begin Thursday evening. Opening Ceremonies will be held at the Courthouse Square starting at 6:45 p.m. Enjoy a presentation of flags, opening remarks, singing of the United States and Norwegian national anthems, and entertainment by performers such as the Nordic Dancers and the Luren Singers.

This year's Nordic Fest Grand Marshals are Ed and Joyce Epperly, the Flag Recipients are Jim and Ann Kephart, and the Nordic Fest Board President is Kory Courtney, all of Decorah.
