Lake Meyer to offer nature programs for children starting Tuesday

Winneshiek County Conservation will host "Little Naturalist" programs at Lake Meyer Park starting Tuesday morning.  The free programs are targeted towards 4-year-olds and 5-year-olds, although younger and older children are welcome to attend.  Children must be accompanied by a guardian and should bring their own water bottle.

Each session will include activities, crafts, stories, and more with the theme of the animals and plants of Iowa.  Sessions will run from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23rd; Tuesday, August 6th; and Tuesday, August 20th.  The programs will take place at the Lake Meyer Educational Shelter located at Lake Meyer Park and Campground, outside of Calmar (2546 Lake Meyer Road).
