(Several people have e-mailed in response to Jacob Voigt's Letter to the Editor, (http://www.decorahnews.com/news-stories/2019/07/22774.html), asking that the Pledge of Allegiance be said in Decorah Schools):

Retired 4th grade teacher Kerry Johnson e-mailed, "The students and staff of Carrie Lee Elementary say the Pledge of Allegiance every morning following the daily announcements."

Current Carrie Lee 4th grade teacher Stacy Knight e-mailed: "Just an FYI, Carrie Lee students say the the Pledge of Allegiance with great pride everyday with announcements. We also gather at the flagpole on special days as an entire school.  I can't speak for the rest of the district but very proud to be a teacher at Carrie Lee Elementary School in Decorah, Iowa."

St. Benedict School 3rd Grade Teacher Mary Ann Krammen e-mails: "The pre-K through 8th graders at St. Benedict School recite the pledge each and every day.  Students in every grade take turns volunteering for this honor."
