Free event Thursday at Vesterheim centers on the museum's tattoo exhibit

Vesterheim will hold a free "family-friendly community event" from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the museum.

The event centers on the museum's exhibit about tattoos. Everyone is invited to enter a tattoo design contest. Bring a design ready to submit, or make one at the event from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Visitors will vote for their favorite design at 6:30 p.m. The winning design will be announced at 7:00 p.m. and will be made into temporary tattoos for sale in the Museum Store.

Remarks will be made at 6:00 p.m. The tattoo exhibit is sponsored by Nick and Courtney Rowley, with community partners Brock's Valhalla Tattoo and Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. The exhibit runs through next April.
