It has been promised for years now... Besides using modern technology, they could make more of an effort to speak up."):

The Answer Person says: "Your question is so timely, people will think this is a made-up question (it's not!). New speakers were installed in the ceiling of the Decorah City Council's meeting room on Monday. They're not hooked up yet, but they will be later this week when sound technicians come back and complete the installation of an entirely new sound system. "We're finally moving forward with that," says City of Decorah IT Director Chopper Albert, who has been around for most of the discussion. But now the discussion has ended and the installation will soon be completed!"
