Happy Hour Book Group will meet at Rubaiyat Wednesday

The Decorah Public Library's Happy Hour Book Group will meet at Rubaiyat at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday to discuss Francisco Cantú's "The Line Becomes a River: Dispatches from the Border."

The book follows members of the Border Patrol as they haul in the dead and deliver to detention those they found alive. Plagued by nightmares, the book's main character eventually abandons the Border Patrol for civilian life. But then an immigrant friend travels to Mexico to visit his dying mother and does not return.
